History

         History is filled with secrets. The underground railroad was a secret way for slaves to escape their bonds. The KGB, or secret police, terrorized the people of the USSR and kept them in line. In every war there have been spies and undercover agents that have helped governments prepare for attacks and plan for counter-attacks. (This is also related to codes and cryptography in the Math section.) Secret societies can be found throughout the world and can be persecuted for their hidden meetings and secretive ways.
